2015 marks the Crimson Kings 65th year in drum corps! We are looking forward to continuing the traditions of class, excellence and pride for many years to come. As we mark this anniversary, we begin our retrospective on the corps, looking back on the history and accomplishments of the Corps throughout the decades. We also look back on the recent past few years and acknowledge that 2012, the year of the dragon, was quite a milestone year for the Crimson Kings.
33rd Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival
This year we were invited to participate in the 33rd Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival hosted by the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans. It took place Saturday, May 12th in the heart of DUMBO Brooklyn. It was a great change of pace for us as we've been working really hard preparing for the upcoming recording session. We kicked off the festival by marching through the main area towards the main stage performing Simple Gifts. Once on stage, we performed our parade routine without a hitch. It was actually the first performance for a few of our members too! They all did great
2011 Group Photos
After wrapping up last year's parade season with the Double Ten parade, we made it a point to freshen up room 408, or as most members call it -- The Office. We added a new couch for guests, parents and potential members to sit on. A large plasma television was donated to the Corps in which we mounted onto the wall. The biggest change though was replacing all the photos of yesteryear that had been hanging on the office walls for at least five years.
